    Frequently asked questions

    What is PMU?

Permanent Makeup is a cosmetic technique used to implant pigment into the dermal layer of the skin to resemble real makeup which lasts longer, does not smear or rub off, and looks flawless at all times.

    Who gets PMU?

Permanent makeup is suitable for almost everyone. Both men and women want to look their best at all times, people may be allergic to normal makeup, and if you’re active then permanent makeup is waterproof and will not smear or sweat off of you. Permanent makeup is also a solution to those seeking to hide imperfections or mask/camouflage scars through the art of micro-pigmentation. It is not just about having perfect makeup on though. It’s also about the overall convenience and time saved for years to come.

Is this the same as microblading?

We do not do microblading because it is more outdated, invasive, painful, and leads to inferior results. In fact, many people come to us to have their poorly microblade eyebrows fixed. Microblading creates small cuts on the skin where pigment is then implanted. Instead, we use a nano needle that is much finer, makes no cuts on the skin, and uses a completely different technique to simulate actual realistic hair strokes.

    Is PMU safe?

Yes, all of our technicians are not only licensed but carefully monitored for their work to ensure that their skills and techniques are all to standard and up to date. We only work with sterile equipment and sanitation is important to us. Aesthetics Health strictly follows all safety and health regulations within its operating vicinity.

    Is it really permanent?

Most procedures will last anywhere from 1-to 3 years depending on skin type, lifestyle, and self-care. Permanent makeup procedures will fade over time and require touch-ups to maintain the color and shade that you want.

What’s the difference between PMU and tattoos?

The idea is similar in the sense that pigment is implanted with a needle but the pigment and techniques used are completely different.
